Buried iPhone Developer Video Treasure

Want to hear some stories about developers working on the iPhone? There are some really nice videos Apple has put together about them. Problem is that they are really hard to find. Impossible, really. If you’re interested in finding them, here’s the breadcrumb path: Go to the iPhone Development at WWDC page, then look on the right hand side for a small picture of Ge Wang with a play icon over his face. Click it and the following opens up:

iPhone Dev Video

These four videos are very well produced and let the developers tell their stories of using the iPhone SDK. These things should be front and center on the Apple developer website. After watching them, I want to drop everything else and hack on some iPhone applications. It’s too bad that I’m fully booked right now and can’t, but that’s a whole different story.

This is one of 187 blog posts on duncandavidson.com. If you care to read more, two posts I recommend are Dear Speakers, a set of thoughts for public speakers that I pulled together in March, 2009 and Tilting at the Windmill, One Last Time, a call to Flickr to include important EXIF and ITPC metadata in the photographs they provide to the public.

Apple laid the golden egg with the iPhone SDK and the app store. The amount of $$$s being made selling apps is incredible. Maybe time to put that camera down and cash in.

Great find Duncan.

I wish we would have developer videos of this quality for the Android platform.

I guess that is one of the perks you get when there is a single company behind the product, and this company has its goals aligned with the developers.
